We’re thrilled to announce that Contentworks Agency will be an official media partner for the Malta AI & Blockchain Summit. This will take place from 23-24th May 2019 at the prestigious Hilton Malta, St Julian’s and follows the monumental success of the November 2018 event organised by the same team.
Malta – The Blockchain Island
Known as The Blockchain Island, Malta has taken significant steps to advance the rapidly progressing blockchain sector. The Maltese government passed three bills last year which are designed to regulate innovative technology within the industry, providing an ideal ecosystem for companies, start-ups and investors. Malta’s clear stance on blockchain innovations makes it the ideal location for an exciting, forward thinking summit that is set to attract thought leaders across the globe.
Malta AI & Blockchain Summit – What to Expect
No less than 8500 people attended the 2018 networking event and 2019 looks to be even bigger and better. It will be themed around Social Impact and how Satoshi Nakamoto’s vision of decentralisation can affect society as a whole. The event will be inaugurated with a Social Impact Awards ceremony on the eve of the summit. The unexpected success of last year’s show has also encouraged organisers to push for bigger and better things. Here are some expected highlights:
- A First-Class Venue
Located in the Portomaso Yacht Marina, just 15 minutes away from UNESCO World Heritage Capital City Valletta, the Hilton Malta has the wow-factor. Such a venue allows the summit to host a world-class expo floor that’s appropriate for a reputable crowd of global exhibitors.
- An Impressive Line-Up of Speakers
The Malta AI & Blockchain Summit has already revealed an impressive line-up of speakers featuring top names from within the industry such as:
Roger Ver – often referred to as Bitcoin Jesus and involved in a host of Bitcoin projects and start-ups.
Tim Draper – founding partner of leading venture capital firms Draper Associates and DFJ.
Ben Goertzel – the founder and CEO of SingularityNET, a blockchain-based AI marketplace.
Sophia the Robot – a robot developed by Hanson Robotics who can generate an astounding number of human-like facial expressions. Sophia will be making her second appearance at a Malta-based summit.
The Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Junior Minister for Financial Services, Digital Economy and Innovation, Silvio Schembri, will also speak at the event.
