Fireside Chat with JP Morgan Chase & co

Our Fireside Chat was moderated by Contentworks Director, Niki , and tapped into trends, acquisition techniques and managing remote sales teams. Paul Van Sint Fiet, Head of Cross-Currency Solutions Sales – APAC at JPMorgan Chase & Co provided excellent insights to attendees

“We are having to become more targeted and give extra, more tailored services to individuals. And that is a real contradiction for now. Companies are really jumping on board with the whole ability to service their clients online and speak to them and develop a personal relationship” he stated.

Panel Debate With Live Q&A – FX Marketing in Q4

Moderated by Contentworks Agency Creative Director Charlotte, the marketing panel sparked interesting discussions around “The New Normal”. Natallia Hunik, Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) at Advanced Markets Group discussed video marketing and pegged this as a must have for any 2021 strategy. Video being separated into short, viral style Tiktok or Instagram videos. Or more educational, meaningful YouTube playlists. Michalis Michael, Content Manager at Tickmill shared his insights surrounding CSR. He reiterated the need to be human and focus on authentic and meaningful content, video and social media. Anna Ilyukhina, Marketing Director at SwissChain discussed the need for social media interaction to cover the increased demand for social media support. she also emphasised the continued importance of PR, especially for new brokers.

Q4 Market Predictions to Get Your Clients Excited

Jameel Ahmad, Director of Investment Strategy at NAGA chatted with Contentworks agency Niki about the pandemic, presidential elections and of course Brexit. Understanding the effects of news on the financial markets is critical for brokers and traders alike and discussing some firm calendar dates and their possible market impact was valuable. Knowing what’s coming up allows brokers to prepare content. For example, 2 campaigns (Biden Wins or Trump Wins) for the outcome of the presidential election so they are ready to go on election morning. The strength of the GBP has also been called into question recently and that sparked an interesting debate among attendees. “I do still think that q4 is going to have a few more twists and turns.” said Jameel. We certainly agree there.

Interaction & Collaboration

The Big Forex Breakfast is all about collaboration. While we looked forward to the opinions and insights of the speakers, we also wanted to hear what the attendees had to say. Being a social media marketing agency at heart, we always look for ways to start and sustain conversations. We did this for the webinar in multiple ways. First, we held polls through the event, which threw up some interesting insights. We also continued the conversation on Twitter with the hashtag #bigforexbreakfast.

Some Much-Needed Networking

The Big Forex Breakfast gave us a great opportunity to connect and interact with a long list of interesting people from all over the world. From Russia to Hong Kong and the UK to India, it was a meeting of the minds, meaningful conversations and plenty of humour.

Lastly, Gotta Love Avramis Despotis

While there were some very enlightening discussions about the role of technology in finance and fintech, from automated trading to the use cases for AI, it was Avramis who won us over. He sleeps soundly at night, knowing that technology will take care of his trades and his clients. He doesn’t worry any longer about a night on the town or being bored at home impacting trading decisions. The next time you meet up with our old friend, Jack Daniels, don’t forget to invite us too, Avramis! The Forex and Tech panel was lively and featured: Alexander Ridgers, ex. Head of eFX Trading – SVP at Jefferies, Ian Daniels, Executive Director, Head of eFX Distribution EMEA at Nomura, Katryna Hanush, Vice President Currenex EMEA Sales at State Street Global Markets, Avramis Despotis, Founder & CEO at Tradepedia LLC and Christos Ttiniozou, Managing Director at iSPIRAL. It was superbly moderated by Arno Venter, Senior Market & Commentary Analyst at
Financial Source.
