A Show Like No Other

If you’re expecting a Pacman-style expo hall and mundane business card swapping, think again. Money20/20 sets out to deliver:

  • A Memorable Experience

At Money20/20 Europe, you’ll be immersed into an extraordinary world where every turn is designed to spark connections you didn’t know you were missing. Think pop-up events, unexpected invitations and random encounters with the A-Z of fintech’s giants and rising superstars. A sensory masterpiece, Money20/20 will keep you on your toes.

  • Major Industry Launches and Announcements

Money20/20 is a place where business gets done and contracts get signed. Historically, it’s also been a place for major industry launches and announcements. From Amazon launching ‘Login and Pay’ to Klarna rolling out its ‘slice it in 4’ payment option, there’s been no shortage of industry surprises. Money20/20 also saw Uber announce Uber Money, an innovative division within the ride hailing firm. So, expect the unexpected.

  • Business Making Collisions

Forget making small talk with a warm white wine in your hand. Money20/20 focuses on business-making collisions. These are described as ‘extraordinary, immersive experiences. The kind that fuel conversations with your future collaborators and customers.’ Guests are encouraged to use the exciting Collisions App. This provides AI recommendations of who you should meet based on your business needs. It also allows you to search, sort and filter the entire attendee list so you can identify the decision-makers you need to meet. Furthermore, you can book unlimited meetings with attendees before the show doors even open and direct message any attendee before, during or after the show.

At the Money20/20 2019 event, 90% of attendees used the networking app, so don’t miss out!

  • Immersive Conversations

Money20/20 is replacing traditional monologues and silent speaker halls with immersive conversation opportunities. And, as every conversation needs a spark, fintech’s greatest community will focus on an agenda of exciting themes. Topics include:

  • The What: Creating Products You Can’t Imagine

This will focus largely on creating a spectacular user experience and incorporating fintech into moments that matter the most.

  • The Who: Defining a New Cast

This will exam unorthodox cross-industry alliances and how they could result in ingenious solutions delivered through embedded and contextual finance.

  • The How: Developing a Regenerative Gene

How can businesses implement radical product thinking, but in a way that guarantees durability and resilience both for the organisation and the communities they’re serving?

  • The Where: Designing an Intelligent Environment

How do we create an environment intelligent and responsive enough not just to enable or even to accelerate progress, but to turbocharge it?

  • The What Next: Finding Problems for Solutions

What are the micro issues of today that will be macro concerns tomorrow? What unreasonably audacious R&D projects and POCs can we take one step further in service of a goal or a customer we can’t see yet?

  • Legendary Speakers

Past speakers at Money20/20 include Steve Wozniak, Co-Founder at Apple, Vitalik Buterin, Founder of Ethereum and Charlotte Hogg, CEO of Visa Europe. Stay tuned for the confirmed speaker line-up for Money20/20 Europe in 2021.

Why Amsterdam?

Amsterdam is the perfect location for this year’s Money20/20 Europe event. It’s one of the most prominent European fintech hubs to start with; home to several unicorns and a thriving payments sector. The city also has a winning combination of a strong financial sector, successful tech ecosystem and vibrant start-up scene.

What to See and Do in Amsterdam?

A spot of sightseeing is all part of the foreign expo experience. So why not make the most of your trip to Amsterdam? Top attractions include Museumplein. Home to the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, the Stedelijk Museum and The Royal Concertgebouw, this is the cultural beating heart of the city. You could also head to Prinsengracht house where diarist Anne Frank and her family hid for two years after fleeing persecution in Germany. The front of the Anne Frank House is now a thought-provoking museum, but the back annexe has been preserved to give an idea of what life was like for Anne and the families she hid with. More relaxing activities include cruising down Amsterdam’s UNESCO protected canal belt or grabbing a bite to eat in one of the many cafes and restaurants.

Other events you might want to suss out in September include the International Conference on Neurofinance and Investor Behaviour on 15 September or the CFO Network on 27 September.
